Cockington Primary School

Year 6 have been producing some stunning watercolour artwork and haiku poems. The tsunami poems were based on the The Great Wave by Hokusai. Using a five, seven, five syllable pattern, the class then produced their haikus using figurative language.

Well done to the Year 5/6 boys football team who won their Bewley Cup group stages match against Ilsham Primary School 2-0.

Eggbuckland Vale Primary School

Year 3 have been investigating light and shadow as part of their science curriculum. The children demonstrated the scientific skills of setting up a test, observing and measuring outcomes, recording data and evaluating findings.

Last week, we invited veterans from the Royal British Legion, their families and Lily from the MKC Heroes charity into school. The visitors were served a delicious roast dinner, sitting alongside some of our MKC Heroes Club service children. A wonderful time was had by all!

Leigham Primary School

Well done to Sophia who was the Nursery Reader of the Week! She completes her challenge every week and we are so impressed with her enthusiasm and love for reading.

 Year 2 have been learning about Mount Vesuvius, with an interesting activity that created an eruption using citrus fruit, soap, food colouring, bicarbonate of soda and lemon juice.

Widey Court Primary School

Pupils across the school have been looking at British Values in their assembly. So far they have discussed ‘The Rule of Law’ and ‘Mutual Respect’. Each class was asked to write down how they could show respect to one another.
